Jezero crater

Jezero crater on Mars is 45 km in diameter and is one of the potential landing sites of the Mars 2020 rover mission. The image shows a part of the crater, with a delta-like fan at its western edge, which marks an area where flowing water once would have entered the lake-filled crater and deposited clay minerals transported from the surrounding watershed. The proposed landing site lies a little to the right (east) of this image.
